HI-FI PROFILES

Behold, a riso animation of various people wearing their headphones and playlist names from each of them. I wanted to create something about the significance of headphones to people, so on top of just taking a photo of everyones’ side profile I also seperated the headphones from their heads digitally. From here, it was simple to convert these into a suitable format for a risograph, using the contrasting colours to place emphasis on the headphones.

The addition of the playlist names transformed the meaning from the indivudality of headphones to individuality of music as a whole; in that spirit, I got people to write their playlist names in their own handwriting several times, animating between the variations to keep it legible and introduce a sense of energy to match the visuals while not being so lively as to distract from the piece as a whole.
